Hi!! In this blog, I’ll explain the procedure to change the wallpaper on your logon screen in Windows 7.
This is how my logon screen looks like…
So, just go through the following steps to set a picture of your choice as your logon screen wallpaper..
1. Go to “Run” window from Start menu or by pressing (‘Win’+‘R’)keys together.
2. Type “regedit” and press ‘Enter’. This will open the registry editor window.
3. Right click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and click on “Find”.
4. Now, search for “OEMBackground” from the Find window.
5. Double Click on “OEMBackground” and change the “value data” to 1.
6. Now, go to ‘C:\Windows\System32\oobe\Info\Backgrounds’.
7. Paste your desired picture here and change its name to “BACKGROUNDDEFAULT” but make sure no other picture remains in the same name.
A word of caution:: The desired picture size must be less than 256 KB.
